Fitness and Motivation

To you this might mean losing weight, toning up your mid-section, or training for the big race this year.  Whatever it is, I want to encourage you to take three steps that will produce lasting results.

1.    Get clear – Do you have a clear picture of what you want, a vision?  If you don’t have a clear vision, don’t start your fitness program.  Why?  Because you’ll fail; it’s a principle: “where the people lack vision they perish.”  Write down what your goal or vision is, then put it on your bathroom mirror or refrigerator door for daily encouragement.  If you can perceive it, you can achieve it!
2.    Get free – What things do you need to stop doing in order to fit this new vision into your lifestyle?  Make a decision today to get free from negative thinking, limiting beliefs, and unhealthy habits (excessive TV, internet, shopping, etc.).
3.    Get going - What are you waiting for?  Seize the day, and realize your vision or your fitness dream?  Get support from workout partners, prayer, and motivational tools.  If you begin to slip, hire a life coach or a physical trainer.

When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot manifest, strength cannot fight, wealth becomes useless, and intelligence cannot be applied. – Herophilus
